Teacher Materials Now Available for 2013 MIOSM Concert

Check the NAfME website now to view the songs and listen to the audio tracks for the 2013 Concert for Music In Our Schools Month.  http://musiced.nafme.org/concert

This year, the repertoire includes songs that will challenge elementary through high school students.  The accompaniments include percussion, guitar and fiddle.

If you would like your students to appear in the 2013 Concert, be sure to submit a simple Student Performance Proposal to SusanL@nafme.org by September 28 describing how you would stage up to 3 of the concert songs.  Be sure to include details describing the setting, costumes, instruments, choreography, and anything special about your school or performance. No video is required at this time.

Be a part of NAfME’s 28 year-old tradition – the Concert for Music In Our Schools Month!  Show your administrators, parents, and local decision makers the importance of school music programs with a performance of any of these songs during Music In Our Schools Month!

    Thank you so much for creating this Concert each year and providing the music. My students love the whole program each year. We learn all the songs from Kindergarten through 5th grade and join together to sing along in March. So fun and a great tradition to keep!
